  Germany opposes EU enlargementMarch 9, 2009 - 13:42 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Frankfurter Allgemeine: Christian Democratic Union once again opposed Turkey's accession to the EU. Germany's Christian Democratic Union (CDU) opposes further EU enlargement. With the number of member states reaching 27 during the past several years, the Union needs time to consolidate, according to the CDU. Exception can be made for Croatia only, Christian Democrats say, one again opposing Turkey's accession bid, Frankfurter Allgemeine reports.
