PanARMENIAN.Net - The Rector of Yerevan State Medical University, former Health Minister Armen Muradyan has said that men are dying from the coronavirus at a higher rate than women.

"Covid-19 infection rates among men and women are almost identical – 49% in women and 51% in men – but the death rate is significantly higher among men at 59%, and 41% among women," Muradyan wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 30.

The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Armenia grew by 750 to reach 191,491 on Tuesday. So far, 172,605 people have recovered, 3497 have died from the coronavirus in the country, while 890 others carrying the virus have died from other causes.
