Armenian community of Germany to have church in HalleMarch 10, 2009 - 14:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Christian religious Armenian community of Amensdorf district of Halle, Germany, has obtained a land with a construction which earlier hosted a Catholic church.The community's shepherd, hieromonk Aivazian said this is the only church owned by Armenians in Germany. "The Catholic church hasn't functioned for three years already. And we are happy that with the city administration's permission it will again bring the faithful under its roof," said Herbert Siegfried, chairman of the Amensdorf society. The opening ceremony will take place in June or July.
