Armenia climb 9 points to 90th spot in FIFA's latest ranking

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia have climbed nine notches to take the 90th spot in the latest FIFA rankings published on Wednesday, April 7 by the federation.

For the first time in its history, Armenia won their first three World Cup qualifying matches, defeating Group J opponents Liechtenstein (1-0), Iceland (2-0) and Romania (3-2) within just seven days. Armenia’s record now puts them on top of Group J, ahead of both Germany and North Macedonia. The national team is thus undefeated in their last eight games.

Belgium, meanwhile, still tops the FIFA ranking and is closely followed by France and Brazil.
