Tbilisi exhibition commemorates Armenian Genocide![]() April 14, 2021 - 15:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - An exhibition dedicated to the Armenian Genocide was held in Tbilisi, Georgia's capital, on Tuesday, April 14, Aliq.ge reports. The event was held in the central Freedom Square in front of the Tbilisi City Assembly and is scheduled to move to an area near the Georgian President's residence. Pictures exhibited portrayed not only scenes from the Armenian Genocide, but also religious heritage sites in Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh). A similar exhibition was held in 2018. On April 24, 1915, a group of several hundred Armenian intellectuals were rounded up and assassinated in Constantinople by the Ottoman government. Every year on April 24, Armenians worldwide commemorate the anniversary of the Genocide, which continued until 1923. Some three dozen countries, hundreds of local government bodies and international organizations have so far recognized the killings of 1.5 million Armenians as Genocide. Turkey denies to this day. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington.
