Toumanian provided details from the province of Syunik where a group of Azerbaijani troops are still stationed. Negotiations for their withdrawal are ongoing. On May 13, the Azerbaijani military committed more border violations against Armenia, advancing near Vardenis (Gegharkunik province) and Sisian (Syunik province). They also discussed the establishment of the Persian Gulf-Black Sea international transit corridor, which Esmali said will contribute to both economic development and regional security.
