Sappers to dispose of unexploded ordnance in Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - Sappers of the State Emergency Service of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), the Center for Humanitarian Demining and Halo Trust are planning to dispose of unexploded ordnance on Tuesday, June 15, the press service of the State Emergency Service reports.

The ordnance disposal will take place in the region of Martuni, the villages of Khnatsakh and Aygestan of the Askeran region, the villages of Varnkatagh and Drmbon of Martakert region in Karabakh.

After the 44-day war in fall 2020, a large amount of ammunition remained on the territory of Karabakh, since the Azerbaijani Armed Forces used cluster munitions against the civilian population of Artsakh.
