Azerbaijan's Jan-May oil exports via BTC pipeline fall 11.2%![]() June 17, 2021 - 12:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azeri oil exports through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline via Georgia and Turkey fell by 11.2% year on year to 11.1 million tons in the first five months of the year, the State Statistics Committee said on Wednesday, June 16, Reuters reports. The BTC pipeline is used to export oil from the Azeri, Chirag and Guneshli oilfields operated by BP. Azerbaijan’s oil exports in the first five months of the year totaled 14.7 million tons, about 75.6% of which was via the BTC pipeline. The volume of transit oil through BTC fell to 1.523 million tons in January-May, down from 1.790 million tons a year earlier. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit.
