Prosperous Armenia rules out coalition with Pashinyan

PanARMENIAN.Net - The leader of Prosperous Armenia party, lawmaker Gagik Tsarukyan cast his ballot at a polling station in the village of Arinj, Kotayk province on Sunday, June 20. Tsarukyan told reporters afterwards that he has voted "for a secure homeland, a strong and prosperous Armenia."

Tsarukyan ruled out the formation of coalition with acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan who came under fire after signing a statement with the Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents to end the war in Nagorno-Karabakh almost 45 days after the start of the military hostilities. Under the deal, the Armenian side was forced to return all the seven regions surrounding Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.

The Prosperous Armenia leader said nothing and no one can influence his decision, including businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan, who is running for parliament in Pashinyan's party list.
