Armenia election recount results in slight changes![]() June 24, 2021 - 12:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A recount was held in 65 polling stations in Armenia on June 22 and 23, as a result of which the number of ballots received by the opposition Hayastan (Armenia) bloc increased by 744, while those of the Civil Contract party by 659, the Central Election Commission reports. Caretaker Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party won over 53% of the vote, while Hayastan (Armenia) bloc headed by second President Robert Kocharyan secured over 21.4% of the ballots. "I Have Honor" bloc too will get seats in the parliament. Results remain unchanged in 15 polling places. The following changes were registered for each of the parties and blocs, participating in elections (-decrease, + increase): Fair Armenia Party -8 Armenian National Congress Party (HAK) 0 Civil Contract – 687251 (53.92%) + 659 Awakening National Christian Party -2 Freedom Party 0 I Have Honor Alliance +5 United Homeland Party +1 All-Armenian National Statehood Party 0 Bright Armenia Party (LHK) -1 Armenia is Our Home Party 0 Republic Party +1 Homeland of Armenians Party + 2 Free Homeland Alliance -10 Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) + 5 Democratic Party of Armenia 0 5165 National Conservative Movement Party +1 Citizen's Decision Social-Democratic Party 0 Shirinyan-Babajanyan Alliance of Democrats + 52 National Agenda Party -1 Rise Party -19 Liberal Party -2 European Party of Armenia (EPA) -1 Armenia Alliance +744 National Democratic Pole -60 Sovereign Armenia Party +52 The recount process will continue on June 24 a well. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
