Irina Sarishvili: US and Russia will tear Georgia apart

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Georgian Government is a joint project of US and Russia," Imedi Georgian Political Party Leader Irina Sarishvili stated, adding "US and Russia will tear Georgia apart

." According to Sarishvili's forecasts, NATO military bases, mainly consisting of Turkish military, will be stationed in Adzharia. "Russia, in its turn, will station military bases in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and possibly, in Samtskhe Javaheti, as Moscow is interested in the territory," Mteli Kvira daily cited her as saying.





Meanwhile, Russia will allocate over RR 5 billion from 2009 budget to bail out Abkhazia and South Ossetia; RR 2,36 billion to Abkhazia and 2, 8 billion to the South Ossetia.



Russian Ministry of Foreign affairs reported that additional RR 8,5 billion will be allocated to South Ossetia for reconstruction of buildings and social objects, damaged during August 2008 events. Russian Military bases mill be set up in both republics. South Ossetian authorities plan to assign territory to Russian Ministry of Defense for 99 years. Abkhazia President Sergey Bagapsh has stated earlier that the land will be provided to Russia for 49 years. Sources say Russia plans to spend over RR 10 billion for construction and maintenance of military infrastructure in South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
