Armenia: 5500 Covid vaccine doses administered in the past day

PanARMENIAN.Net - 97,711 doses of coronavirus vaccine have been administered in Armenia, Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan told a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, July 8.

Avanesyan noted that the number of new Covid-19 cases is growing "a little" but said that 5416 shots were administered in the past day alone, which she said is a "pretty good indicator".

The Minister added that people can choose which vaccine they prefer, as the country is working to purchase additional options, in addition to the current .

The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Armenia grew by 186 to reach 225987 on July 8 morning. So far, 217,381 people have recovered, 4536 have died from the coronavirus in the country, while 1104 others carrying the virus have died from other causes.
