Karabakh resident returns home after getting lost in Azeri-controlled areas

PanARMENIAN.Net - A Nagorno-Karabakh resident who got lost and found himself in territories controlled by Azerbaijan has returned home, Artsakh (Karabakh) Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan said on social media on Thursday, July 23.

"A resident of Aygestan village of Askeran region got lost in Khramort district and crossed over to the sector controlled by Azerbaijan," Stepanyan tweeted.

"The resident was returned to the Armenian side at the mediation of the Russian peacekeeping forces."

The person is out of danger, the Ombudsman added.
