Armenia appoints new Deputy PM, Defense MinisterAugust 2, 2021 - 16:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President Armen Sarkissian signed decrees on Monday, August 2 to appoint Suren Papikyan and Arshak Karapetyan as Armenia's new Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, respectively. Papikyan had been serving as the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure since 2019. Karapetyan, a former Deputy chief of the Armenian Army General Staff Arshak Karapetyan, was appointed the Deputy Defense Minister in July.
