Armenian soldier killed in Azerbaijan's sniper attack

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian serviceman Vahan Tatosyan was killed in Azerbaijan's sniper attack from across the border on Monday, August 16 morning, the Defense Ministry reports.

The fresh provocation happened near Yeraskh, Ararat province. According to the Ministry, the Armenian troops retaliated, inflicting losses on the Azerbaijani side.

Earlier on Monday, the Azerbaijani army resorted to provocations in the province of Syunik as well, attempting to advance into Armenian soil. The Armed Forces of Armenia took suppressive measures to throw the Azeris back to their positions. The adversary suffered at least one casualty during the skirmish. There were no casualties on the Armenian side.
