108 schools across Karabakh welcome children back to classrooms

PanARMENIAN.Net - 108 schools across Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) opened their doors on Thursday, September 1, Mikayel Hambardzumyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport said, Artsakhpress reports.

"Ahead of the academic year, the schools have received the necessary textbooks. In total, 19,000 schoolchildren will attend schools in the Republic. 1,907 of them are first graders," Hambardzumyan said.

"In some schools the educational process will be arranged in two shifts."

According to Hambardzumyan, problems related to the organization of the educational process for children displaced due to the recent war have been resolved.
