Azerbaijani troops steal Armenian villager's car – town chief![]() September 13, 2021 - 19:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azerbaijanis have stolen a UAZ vehicle belonging to a resident of the village of Tegh in Armenia's Syunik province, community head Nerses Shadunts has told Pastinfo. The vehicle ran out of fuel the moment the man accidentally entered areas currently under Azerbaijani control three days ago, Shadunts said on Monday, September 13. The man realized his mistake after driving only 100-200 meters into Azeri-held areas but when he turned back to return to Armenia, he realized he had no fuel left in the car, Shadunts explained. The villager is originally from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and has relocated to Tegh in the aftermath of the 44-day war unleashed by Azerbaijan in fall 2020. When he walked back to the village and fetched fuel, he discovered that the vehicle was gone. Both the Russian peacekeeping contingent and the Armenian border guards have been informed about the incident but the vehicle has not been returned yet. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
