Aronian defeats Azeri grandmaster

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian scored a victory over Azerbaijani Teimour Radjabov in the 8th round of Amber 2009 tournament.



Aronian shares the 2nd and 3rd position with Norwegian Magnus Carlsen with 10 points. World champ Viswanathan Anand is leading with 10.5 points after defeating Russian grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik.



In the 9th round, Aronian will play vs. Russia's Alexander Morozevich.
