Los Angeles City Hall lit in colors of Armenian flag on war anniv.

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Los Angeles City Hall was lit in the colors of the Armenian tricolor on Tuesday, November 9, in commemoration of the anniversary of a ceasefire after the 44-day way unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in fall 2020, Consul General of Armenia Armen Baibourtian said on Facebook.

According to Baibourtian, the LA City Council was this paying tribute to lives lost, as well as standing in solidarity with Armenian prisoners of war still held captive in Azerbaijan.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev on November 9, 2020 signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Under the deal, the Armenian side returned all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
