Azerbaijan establishing border, customs checkpoint on key Armenian road![]() November 15, 2021 - 10:24 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan is establishing a border and customs checkpoint on an interstate Armenian road passing through pockets of Baku-controlled territories, the Armenian National Security Service reported on Sunday, November 14. The Azerbaijani checkpoint was supposed to start working beginning from midnight on Monday, the NSS noted. "Accordingly, the Armenian side will also set up border and customs checkpoints on the in said section of the highway," the NSS said, adding that the alternative road that is currently under construction will be ready by year-end. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
