Armenian President, PM discuss Azerbaijan's aggression

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Armen Sarkissian and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Tuesday, November 16 discussed the situation created as a result of Azerbaijan's attack on the province of Syunik.

Azerbaijan on Tuesday launched a new provocation in the province of Syunik, shelling the Armenian positions and using artillery and armored vehicles. Authorities have already confirmed deaths and injuries among the Armenian army personnel. Although the Defense Ministry has not provided a specific number of deaths and injuries, it has revealed that the Armenian side has also lost two positions in Syunik.

According to a press release from the President's office, the Prime Minister presented details about the incursion of the Azerbaijani military into the territory of Armenia, as well as unveiled the actions taken by the Armenian armed forces.

Given that the President is supposed to participate in The Bloomberg New Economy forum in Singapore, the sides agreed that Sarkissian would use this influential international platform to introduce the situation on the borders of Armenia, as well as the problem of returning the Armenian prisoners of war illegally being held in Azerbaijan to the international community. The conference will be attended by world leaders, heads of international organizations, global corporations and the media.
