Pashinyan cites "unverified data" about 32 PoWs captured on Nov. 16![]() November 24, 2021 - 10:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said that six Armenian soldiers were killed and 32 others taken prisoner by Azerbaijanis during the clashes on November 16. Pashinyan said during an online news conference on Tuesday, November 23 that the number of captives he mentionեd was based on "unverified information". “The number of prisoners may be higher. Now we have six confirmed deaths, and 24 + 8 prisoners of war, according to unverified data. But these data are inconclusive. There are wounded among the PoWs, at least one of them was injured, and not lightly," Pashinyan said. Russian President Vladimir Putin will Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for talks in Sochi on November 26. Pashinyan and Aliyev are also expected to meet in Brussels for the EU-sponsored talks on Dec. 15. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
