Karabakh building new settlement for displaced citizens![]() February 4, 2022 - 18:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A new settlement is being built in Krasni community for the residents of the Nagorno-Karabakh village of Aknaghbyur, which is currently occupied by Azerbaijan. Karabakh (Artsakh) President Arayik Harutyunyan on Friday, February 7 visited the site to learn more about the construction process that started in November of the previous year. Under the project, 12 residential buildings with 216 apartments are planned to be built there. Harutyunyan gave a number of instructions to those responsible, underscored the importance of creating opportunities for the residents to engage in agriculture. The program is implemented with state funds. The settlement will have playgrounds and infrastructure necessary for the life of the residents. It is planned to be put into operation in early 2023. Also Friday, residents of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) displaced as a result of the devastating war unleashed by Azerbaijan in fall 2020 staged a protest in front of the Representation of Artsakh in Yerevan.
