Russian peacekeepers deny entry to Armenian MPs traveling to Karabakh![]() April 13, 2022 - 12:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian Foreign Ministry has expressed concern about the fact that the Russian peacekeeping contingent has not allowed a group of Armenian lawmakers to enter Nagorno-Karabakh. Opposition lawmakers on Tuesday, April 12 boycotted the parliament session and said they were planning to spend the week in Artsakh (Karabakh) and the border communities of Armenia. However, they were denied entry to Karabakh by Russian peacekeepers deployed in the area since fall 2020. "This move contradicts the Trilateral Statement of November 9, which envisages the unimpeded connection of Nagorno-Karabakh with Armenia through the Lachin corridor," the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
