Kim Kardashian says "proud" that U.S. recognizes Armenian Genocide

PanARMENIAN.Net - Reality TV star and beauty mogul Kim Kardashian has said that she is proud that the United States has officially recognized the Armenian Genocide.

"Today is the 107th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Let’s all stand together and remember the 1.5 million people who were massacred," Kardashian, who is half-Armenian, said on Sunday, April 24 – the day Armenians worldwide commemorate the anniversary of the Genocide.

"I’m so proud that America recognizes the Armenian Genocide."

On April 24, 1915, a large group of Armenian intellectuals was rounded up and assassinated in Constantinople by the Ottoman government. On April 24, 2022, Armenians worldwide commemorated the 107th anniversary of the Genocide which continued until 1923. Some three dozen countries, hundreds of local government bodies and international organizations have so far recognized the killings of 1.5 million Armenians as Genocide. Turkey denies to this day.
