Macron expected in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Yerevan "in the near future", according to a letter sent by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Macron on his re-election as President of France.

"I am convinced that your re-election for the next five years will give a new impetus to the privileged relations between Armenia and France, create an opportunity to successfully continue our joint programs, including the efforts aimed at revitalizing bilateral economic relations," Pashinyan said.

"Armenia greatly appreciates France's role as the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair in establishing long-term peace in our region, and hopes that it will continue doing so during the second five-year term of your presidency."

Pashinyan traveled to Paris on a working visit on March 9. He met with Macron at the Élysée Palace, and the two then participated in the conference "Ambitions: Armenia-France" in Paris.
