According to him, Azerbaijan is ready to sign a peace treaty with Armenia and said that Baku was seeing steps from the Armenian side on the peace agenda. He also maintained that steps are needed to ensure long-term and sustainable peace in the region, although Azerbaijan made an incursion into Armenian soil in March 2021 and is still refusing to withdraw its troops.
