Karabakh to provide monthly financial assistance to IDPs

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nagorno-Karabakh authorities will develop a new program for IDPs in need of housing in Artsakh (Karabakh), which will provide AMD 40,000 (about $80) in monthly financial assistance to each displaced person until their housing needs are met.

According to President Arayik Harutyunyan, people will get to spend the money for rent or other social purposes.

"Immediately after the war, a number of programs were implemented by the governments of Artsakh and Armenia," Harutyunyan said, maintaining that the matter is always in the center of his attention. The construction of apartments for displaced Armenian continues, he added.

The Karabakh President said he was confident the program will be completed by the end of 2024, and the residents of Artsakh will be able to live in decent conditions."
