Top Russian, Azerbaijani diplomats talk peace deal with Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov discussed the signing of a peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan on a phone conversation on May 23.

The unblocking of transport and economic ties in the South Caucasus, the demarcation and delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border were also discussed, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.

The parties also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Lavrov in a telephone conversation on May 23 discussed issues related to the formation of a commission for the demarcation and security of the borders between Armenia and Azerbaijan. They also weighed in on the unblocking of economic ties and transport communications in the region.
