Yerevan moves closer to new metro station![]() June 18, 2022 - 13:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Metrogiprotrans Valery Abramson have signed a contract for the design of a new metro station in the Ajapnyak district of the Armenian capital. During a meeting in Yerevan on Saturday, June 18, Sargsyan said the development of the metro is of special importance within reforms in the city's transport system. The Yerevan City Council had earlier approved AMD 554 million for the design of a new metro station in the city. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan.
