U.S. says Karabakh escalation shows need for sustainable settlement![]() August 4, 2022 - 12:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The United States is "deeply concerned" by and closely following reports of intensive fighting around Nagorno-Karabakh, including casualties and the loss of life, State Department spokesperson Ned Price said Wednesday, August 4. "We urge immediate steps to reduce tensions and avoid further escalation," Price said in a statement. "The recent increase in tensions underscores the need for a negotiated, comprehensive, and sustainable settlement of all remaining issues related to or resulting from the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict." Two Nagorno-Karabakh soldiers were killed and 19 others were injured in Azerbaijan's multiple drone attacks on Wednesday, the Defense Army said.
