Ethnographer Vergine Svazlyan's jubilee was celebrated at RA National library

PanARMENIAN.Net - 75 year anniversary of an ethnographer Vergine Svazljan's was celebrated at RA National library. Over 500 books authored by Ms. Svazlyan significantly contributed to the history and culture of Armenia. "Genocide: Verbal testimonies of Eastern Armenians" is considered to be her most important work, requiring 50 years of arduous work to collect information it contains.



Vergine Svazlyan Doctor of Philology, the author of fundamental works on Armenian ethnography, was recently awarded American Biographical Institute's "Greatest Minds of 21st century" honorary order. On Apr 3. two more awards were bestowed on Ms. Svazlyan, "Hakob Meghapart" (RA National library medal) and Musadagh (Expatriate's Community Association's medal).
