Freedom House calls for ceasefire amid Azerbaijan's shelling of Armenian towns

PanARMENIAN.Net - Freedom House has called for an immediate ceasefire after "reports of Azerbaijani Armed Forces intensively shelling"settlements along the border.

"We are alarmed by reports of Azerbaijani Armed Forces intensively shelling the southern Armenian settlements of Goris, Jermuk, Vardenis and Sotk this evening," the organization said on social media.

"We call for an immediate ceasefire and urge both parties to find a peaceful resolution."

Azerbaijan launched a large-scale aggression along the entire border overnight.

The Defense Ministry said on Tuesday morning that the situation had not changed significantly, with the Azerbaijani military continuing to shell the Armenian positions and civilian homes. Photos published online show damage to residential buildings in villages situated the closest to the border.
