Armenia: Driver hospitalized as Azeri army targets civilian vehicle

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azerbaijani military has fired on a civilian car in the Armenian town of Jermuk, CivilNet reports.

The driver of the vehicle has reportedly been hospitalized.

Photos published from the scene showed a damaged SUV with broken windows and windshield.

The Armenian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday morning that the situation on the border remained tense, with the Azerbaijani military continuing to shell the Armenian positions and civilian homes. Photos published online show damage to residential buildings in villages situated the closest to the border. 49 Armenian servicemen have been confirmed dead.
