U.S. to spare no effort for peaceful resolution of Karabakh conflictApril 15, 2009 - 11:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The United States will spare no effort for peaceful resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, a U.S. official said."The United States will promote peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict in the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group," said Matthew Bryza, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Caucasus. "There is a historical possibility to establish peace throughout the Caucasus." He also said that President Obama supports normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations which can promote resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh problem, Trend Azeri news agency reported. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. Authorities said a total of 192 Azerbaijani troops were killed and 511 were wounded during Azerbaijan’s offensive. Partner news |
