Iran Foreign Minister traveling to Armenia top open Consulate on Azeri border

PanARMENIAN.Net - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian will pay an official visit to Armenia on Wednesday, October 20

The meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Iran will take place in Yerevan on Wednesday, followed by the top Iranian diplomat’s meetings Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan.

On October 21, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan and Foreign Minister of Iran Hossein Amir Abdollahian will participate in the opening ceremony of the Consulate General of Iran in Kapan.

As reported earlier, Abedin Varamin has been appointed the Consul General of Iran in the town of Kapan in Armenia’s Syunik province.

At the end of December 2021, the government of Iran made a decision to open a consulate general in the city of Kapan, approving the proposal of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
