RA Government officials failed to come to agreement over balanced development of regions

PanARMENIAN.Net - At today's Governmental meeting RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan had a heated debate over draft resolution on "RA 2009 Budget Redistribution, approval of national, string and wind instruments' list, distribution of funds, tuition payment in music and art schools".

The project was submitted for Governmental approval, yet RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan advised the minister to revise it, asserting that salaries of regional music teachers (AMD 9000) and Yerevan music teachers (AMD 12000) contradict Governmental policy of balanced development of regions.

Though Culture Minister Hasmik Poghosyan was trying to prove the opposite, the Premier kept his ground. Resolution project was not approved.
