CSTO says “a whole range of measures” proposed to aid ArmeniaNovember 28, 2022 - 13:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The CSTO has proposed “a whole range of measures” to help Armenia, including sending a mission to the border with Azerbaijan to assess the situation, the Secretary General of the organization, Stanislav Zas, said in an interview with the Belarusian TV channel ONT. "The situation is not simple, primarily on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, skirmishes take place there almost daily. In general, the set of measures that is proposed by the CSTO as assistance to Armenia – which are different: political and diplomatic, and military, and which include the sending of a mission to this border to realistically assess the situation – generally found support from all states," Zas said. According to him, "the only thing that has not been achieved is a consolidated assessment of the situation that has developed there." On the sidelines of the CSTO summit in Yerevan, Zas said that the document on providing assistance to Armenia is almost ready, but needs some refinement. An instruction was given to finalize said document and submit it for signing to the heads of state. Top stories Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
