"Levon Ter-Petrosyan has all chances and resources to become mayor even if total falsifications take place. Moreover, party can treat this as continuation of 2008 presidential elections," he said. Surenyants denied rumors that Ter-Petrosyan will renounce the post in favor of Stepan Demirchyan. "Levon Ter-Petrosyan will start his works as Mayor from "cleaning the garbage from streets," he said. According to Surenyant, still on September 21, 2007, Ter-Petrosyan stated that he is coming to clean the "Augean stables."
