15 Armenian servicemen killed in barracks fire

PanARMENIAN.Net - 15 Armenian servicemen were killed in a fire that broke out in the barracks of one of the armed forces units in Gegharkunik province, the Defence Ministry said on Thursday, January 19.

Three more servicemen were in serious condition, the Ministry added.

According to a report from http://1lurer.am , a number of top military officials have been or will be dismissed over the deadly incident.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, although preliminary data suggests the soldiers tried to use pterol to turn on a stove.
