Rosatom to supply equipment for cancer treatment to Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia’s State Atomic Energy Corporation, Rosatom, will supply Armenia and Kazakhstan with equipment that allows producing radioactive isotopes for advanced diagnostics of diseases, the press service of the company reports.

The first batch of GT-5K technetium-99m generators was delivered to the Radioisotope Production Center in Yerevan in February.

Such generators are used in the diagnosis of oncological, cardiological, neuroendocrine and some other diseases during the procedures of single-photon emission computed tomography.
