New U.S. envoy to Armenia vows to do everything to help settle conflict![]() March 4, 2023 - 14:10 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - U.S. Ambassador Kristina A. Kvien has pledged to do everything for finding a long-term solution to the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and the normalization of ties between Yerevan and Ankara. Kvien arrived two weeks ago as the tenth U.S. Ambassador to Armenia. In a fresh video, published on the Embassy’s Facebook page Saturday, March 4, the Ambassador spoke about growing up among Armenian-Americans in California, exploring Yerevan, learning about Armenian history and culture, meeting with people displaced by the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh fighting, and about her support for a lasting peace in the South Caucasus. Ambassador Kvien said she is looking forward to strengthening U.S.-Armenian ties and helping Armenia build a bright and prosperous future. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
