President dismisses commander of Arenia-Russia United Group of Forces

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has dismissed the commander of the United Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Armenia and Russia, Major General Tigran Parvanyan, from his duties.

The presidential decree published on Tuesday, March 14 does not specify the reasons for the dismissal of the military official appointed to the position in 2018.

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that the country lost the war in Nagorno-Karabakh in the fall of 2020 because of a "fifth column" in the armed forces. According to him, facts will be published in the near future.
