Pashinyan to attend Biden's virtual Summit for Democracy![]() March 29, 2023 - 10:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will participate in U.S. president Joe Biden's Summit for Democracy starting Wednesday, March 29, his office says. World leaders will gather virtually for the second U.S.-organized Summit for Democracy, an event that involves 120 countries, civil society groups and technology companies. According to a statement from the Department of State, President Biden will co-host the second Summit for Democracy with the governments of Costa Rica, the Netherlands, Republic of Korea, and Republic of Zambia. The second Summit will assemble world leaders in a virtual, plenary format, followed by gatherings in each of our countries with representatives from government, civil society, and the private sector. Azerbaijan, Turkey, North Korea and Russia have not been invited to the summit. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
