Armenia confirms meeting with Azerbaijan; Place and date yet to be determined

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian Foreign Ministry has confirmed that an agreement has been reached to hold a meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, but the venue of the meeting has yet to be agreed upon.

"There is an agreement and proposals regarding the meeting of the foreign ministers, but the specific place and date of the meeting will be announced later," Ani Badalyan, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson, told http://Aysor.am on Thursday, April 27.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said earlier in the day that the meeting was expected to be held in Russia.

Azerbaijani authorities on April 23 set up a checkpoint on the only road connecting the Karabakh with Armenia. Baku also maintained that they have informed the command of the Russian peacekeepers and the Russian-Turkish monitoring center about the installment of the checkpoint.
