  Blinken says dialogue is key to reaching lasting peace in Caucasus May 2, 2023 - 12:59 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said that dialogue is key to reaching a lasting peace in the South Caucasus. Blinken on Monday, May 1 hosted peace talks with Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov at the George P. Schultz National Foreign Affairs Training Center. “Dialogue is key to reaching a lasting peace in the South Caucasus region,” he said in a tweet after the meeting. Azerbaijani authorities on April 23 set up a checkpoint on the only road connecting the Karabakh with Armenia. Baku also maintained that they have informed the command of the Russian peacekeepers about the installment of the checkpoint. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
