RA MFA: any information on Armenian-Turkish agreement in press untrue

PanARMENIAN.Net - Any information on Armenian-Turkish agreement in press is wrong, RA MFA media relations division head Tigran Balayan told PanARMENIAN.Net when commenting on Turkish SABAH newspaper article on so-called 5 provisions of the Armenian-Turkish agreement. "Such serious information must be announced by officials but not by anonymous sources," Balayan said and added that the provisions do not exist.

According to information published by SABAH Turkish newspaper, the provisions are as follows: Armenia must recognize the Agreement of Kars; Third-party nations may also join the commission of historians which will handle the genocide issue; The border will be opened between the two countries and economic agreements will be concluded; Both nations will first accredit the ambassadorship in Tbilisi, and will later open embassies both in Ankara and Yerevan; Agreements in the road map which necessitate the approval of the parliament will be brought to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

Nagorno Karabakh and Cyprus issues are not included as preconditions but are mentioned as urgent issues.
