Russia details transport link talks with Armenia, Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Moscow maintains almost daily contact with Baku and Yerevan to unblock transport links between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexei Overchuk told RIA Novosti on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

"Russia participates in negotiations, proposes solutions, provides communication between the Deputy Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, a platform for dialogue. I never answer the question of when exactly the unblocking will occur and how quickly or slowly - it will happen when the parties reach an agreement," Overchuk said.

Overchuk also said that on the sidelines of the SPIEF he had discussed with Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev issues that remained unresolved after the meeting in Moscow with colleagues from Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Earlier, following the meeting of the working group of Moscow, Baku and Yerevan on June 2, Overchuk noted significant progress in the dialogue on unblocking transport communications between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
