Armenia says Wagner rebellion is Russia’s internal affair

PanARMENIAN.Net - Developments in Russia are Moscow’s internal affair, Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan told reporters on Monday, June 26 when asked to comment on possible regional impact the Wagner mercenary group’s attempted rebellion could have.

Russia's mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin staged an apparent insurrection but less than 24 hours later he had called the whole thing off and ordered his men back to base.

“That’s their internal issue. Naturally, it would negatively impact the region, because unrest and rebellion anywhere around the world can’t be positive. Not to mention that we are tied with Russia in various ways, under various treaties. But that’s all their internal affair,” Simonyan said.
