Azerbaijan commences arbitration proceedings against Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Azerbaijan Republic Chingiz Asgarov has announced that Azerbaijan had commenced arbitration proceedings against Armenia under the Berne Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats.

Asgarov made the remarks at an international conference of judges in Kazakhstan and said that the proceedings were to “hold Armenia accountable for its extensive destruction of Azerbaijan’s environment and biodiversity” in Nagorno-Karabakh.
